Being Present at Thanksgiving

Early Edition of Salesmuser

Only a few selling weeks remain in 2019. The holidays are a fantastic time of the year but the stress to get your deals closed by yearend can deflect your attention. Whether you plan to spend the holidays with family, friends, helping others or even alone, make sure you are present. It’s enticing to sneak a peek at your phone for updates on your pending contract(s). If you work from home, it’s tempting to slip back into your office and complete work to-dos.

Tips for Tuning In

Clear your mind of all of the business and personal stuff swirling around in your head. Dump it all onto a piece of paper. Yes, it’s that simple. This uncomplicated task will stop the hamster wheel spinning in your brain, thinking about all the stuff you have to do. You’ll be able to confidently hit the ground running when you return to work.

On Thanksgiving day or at other gatherings, turn off your phone or at least turn on ‘Airplane Mode’. You’ll still be able to take photos with your phone but avoid the noise of the world outside of the activity you’re enjoying.

Tune in to the blessing that is your family, be present and enjoy all that life is giving you.

Wishing you the very best Thanksgiving.
